Dawn Simon writes middle-grade fiction. Her favorite stories to read or write have humor and heart--and often a bit of magic! Two of her novels were finalists in the Pacific Northwest Writers' Association Literary Contest, and one was a finalist in the San Francisco Writing Contest.
A certified elementary school teacher, she works part-time as a Special Ed paraeducator and a library paraeducator. She lives with her family (which includes one dog and eight chickens) on an island near Seattle. Dawn is a member of SCBWI, PNWA, and The Authors Guild. She is represented by Jennie Kendrick at Red Fox Literary.
