Dawn Simon writes middle-grade novels with humor and heart--and often a bit of magic! When she's not writing, she gets to work with kids at an elementary school. She's a special education paraeducator and works in the school library. Her favorite parts of her job are working with young readers and seeing what books kids are reading!
Two of Dawn's novels were finalists in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association Literary Contest, and one was a finalist in the San Francisco Writing Contest. She lives with her family--including one dog and twelve chickens--on an island near Seattle. Dawn is a member of SCBWI and The Authors Guild. She is represented by Jennie Kendrick at Red Fox Literary.
